Aditya Khanna did his schooling from Mohan Vidyalay. Aditya Khanna has been an average student throughout his school days. Aditya Khanna was more inclined towards dance than his studies. Aditya Khanna started to participate in the dance competition held during the school cultural programmes. Aditya Khanna has also been a good athlete and a footballer player.

Aditya Khanna did his intermediate from the Maharishi Karamchand College. In the year 1992, Aditya Khanna graduated with the degree in Arts.

Aditya Khanna father wanted his son to become a scholar but seeing his interest towards dance, he decided to promote his son. As a result of this Aditya Khanna joined the dance classes. Lalit Agravanshi , the dance teacher of Aditya Khanna from the first day saw his calibre and declared that one day this child will have his own stand. Aditya Khanna has been heralded as an intelligent and thinking dancer. Aditya Khanna choreographed creations are so vivid and crisp in an emotionally charged manner that it strikes down an immediate rapport with the viewer. At the very same time Aditya Khanna never turns aside from aesthetic predisposition. Aditya Khanna dancing skills were further enhanced by his dance master Kamlesh Mehta Through out his academic career, Aditya Khanna has won many awards and trophies at the local, state and national level competitions. Aditya Khanna always represented his school and never returned bare handed from any of the dance competition.
